the temple of the emerald buddha

in her journal dated may 20, 1984, she wrote about this painting: walked to the temple (during her stay at borom phiman mansion in the royal grand palace while chitralada rahotan royal residence was under renovation) and found a good seating to paint near yot sanctuary and phra nak hall. i drew phra nak hall, temple, phra thep bidon palace, and stupa for about one and a half hours. then ajarn ni-on and teammates came to decorate the butsabok throne with gemstones, so i helped them until 11 am. she elaborated that she went there to paint early in the morning and later on more people came to pay respect to the buddha image. she was afraid she would be “in their way of seeing ramayana murals. "i was sitting at the corridor may cause them not to walk nearby to see the ramayana figures.” therefore, she stopped painting and left.
