in her journal dated july 24, 1983, hrh the princess wrote, “it’s sunday, i didn’t have much to do. just studied chinese, did homework, memorized chinese poems, looked up for words in a dictionary or a book. at interval, i did oil painting on sketch pads, which was good. i tried to replicate the pattern in a foreign book, but it didn’t come out like the original. ในสมุดบันทึกส่วนพระองค์ วันที่ 24 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2526 ทรงจดไว้ว่า “วันอาทิตย์เป็นวันที่เราไม่ค่อยจะทำอะไร ดูภาษาจีน ทำการบ้าน แล้วท่องกลอนจีน เปิดศัพท์ในพจนานุกรมหรือหนังสือ สลับกับการวาดรูปสีน้ำมัน วาดในแผ่นสเก็ตช์ ดีเหมือนกัน พยายามวาดตามแบบในหนังสือฝรั่ง แต่ไม่ค่อยจะเหมือน”
