hrh the princess painted this picture at narathiwat province. she saw colorful clothes on the washing line in the backyard of the palace. she thought it looked beautiful and painted what she saw. however, the owners of the clothes disagreed. she humorously recounted that they thought it was not nice to draw their hanging washed clothes.”
สมเด็จพระเทพรัตน์ฯ ทรงวาดภาพนี้ที่จังหวัดนราธิวาส ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเสื้อผ้าสีต่าง ๆ ที่ตากไว้ที่ราวบริเวณด้านหลังพระตำหนัก ทรงเห็นสวยก็ทรงวาดภาพเก็บไว้ แต่บรรดาเจ้าของเสื้อผ้าบนราวทราบเข้ากลับไม่เห็นด้วย ว่าไม่ใช่วิวที่น่าจะวาด ทรงเล่าขัน ๆ ว่า เจ้าของมาต่อว่า “หาว่าน่าเกลียด มาวาดรูปเสื้อเขาตากไว้ ไม่สวย ไม่น่าวาด”
