hrh the princess wrote in her journal, today i intended to go up pha mon cliff to paint a picture of the palace, but the fog was so thick that i couldn’t make it. my niece, siribha (hrh princess siribhachudabhorn) came to play with me because she couldn’t go out either. after she left, i wrote a foreword to the book by thanpuying maneerat. when the fog dissipated, i went up the hill to paint. the chamberlain officer provided a desk for me. it was comfortable. she finished painting in 3 hours.
ทรงเขียนไว้ในสมุดบันทึกส่วนพระองค์ว่า “วันนี้ตั้งใจจะขึ้นไปบนผาหมอน วาดพระตำหนัก พอดีหมอกลง เลยขึ้นไม่ได้ สิริภา (พระเจ้าหลานเธอ พระองค์เจ้าสิริภาจุฑาภรณ์) เลยมาเล่นด้วย เพราะลงไปเล่นข้างล่างไม่ได้ หมอกลง สิริภาไปแล้ว จึงเขียนคำนำหนังสือให้ท่านผู้หญิงมณีรัตน์ พอหมอกจางลงไปบ้าง ก็ขึ้นเขาวาดรูป ให้กรมวังช่วยยกโต๊ะมาให้ สบายดี” ทรงวาดอยู่ประมาณสามชั่วโมงก็เสร็จ
